Based on the idea of intimacy, personal depth, it takes inspiration from Japanese Origami. Developed in 2019, it includes photographs from the “RE – VELADO” project.
From there, a visual story is born, reflected in a book. Creating different ways of approaching the image, thus contributing to the construction of a complex self-portrait where the images intertwine with each fold, adding a new layer of meaning to the visual narrative as a whole. Creating an experience between the object and observation.
Origami thus becomes a symbolic medium to represent the complexity of identity through its folds, establishing a visual dialogue between the images and the paper sculpture.
The term “Re-velado” not only plays with the word ‘revelar’ in its photographic sense but also highlights the act of unfolding, revealing, and exploring the most intimate aspects of being. It becomes a symbolic medium to represent the complexity of identity, unfolding in different forms that share a common narrative.
It is not just a simple visual testimony but a work that triggers questions with each page fold.
